Mt. Erie Elementary students, Lily Dumas, Natalie Ertel and Lauren Digweed, wanted to contribute to a cause over the summer. To do this, they opened a lemonade stand on 32nd Street, but not just any lemonade stand. Their lemonade was organic, included home-baked goods, and raised funds to benefit the Merle Cancer Care Center.

Over the course of two days $619.00 was raised proving even the youngest philanthropists can make a difference! When asked why their lemonade stand was so successful, they said it was the recipe: organic lemonade, fresh strawberries and a sprig of mint.

Thank you to those who stopped by the 32nd Street stand to enjoy a refreshing glass of lemonade or baked good or both! Most of all, thank you Lily, Natalie and Lauren for the ingenuity and generosity of your lemonade stand.
